Five pricing models you will encounter
| Cost driver | How it changes cost | Questions to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Base platform | Monthly or annual access fee. | Which workflows and channels are included at this tier? |
| Contacts | Price rises with the marketing/contact database. | Which contacts are billable, and can inactive contacts be excluded? |
| Seats/users | Each user or bundle of seats affects price. | Who genuinely needs a paid seat? |
| Messaging/phone | SMS, MMS, calling or phone numbers may be usage-based. | Are carrier fees, registration and number rental additional? |
| Implementation/add-ons | Onboarding, AI, advanced CRM or specialist modules can add cost. | Is the add-on optional for your required workflow? |
HighLevel current public pricing
As verified on October 1, 2026, HighLevel's public pricing page lists Starter at $97/month, Unlimited at $297/month and Agency Pro at $497/month, with a 14-day free trial. The same page lists annual prices of $970, $2,970 and $4,970 respectively. HighLevel's support material separately documents usage-based phone and messaging charges, so the subscription should not be treated as the total communications cost.

How other pricing structures differ
HubSpot combines product tiers, seats and marketing-contact allowances; advanced Marketing Hub automation can sit at much higher price points than Starter. Zoho Marketing Automation uses contact-based tiers with comparatively low entry pricing. Keap currently presents an all-platform starting price and states that implementation services are required. ActiveCampaign pricing varies by contacts and plan, with SMS handled through an add-on on eligible plans.

Pricing comparison mistake to avoid
Do not compare a low-tier specialist plan with a higher-tier all-in-one plan unless both can run the same workflow. Normalize the comparison around the required outcome: the same number of contacts, users, messages, appointments and integrations. That is the only useful way to decide whether consolidation is actually cheaper.
